From now on, I want to share a weekly dream analysis from one of my clientsā"The Dream of the Week."
This week, a dream about a baby bear in the garden:
"I discovered that I had a baby bear as a pet, sleeping in the garden of my childhood home. I had completely forgotten about it. When it woke up, I realized it could be both soft and potentially dangerous. Still, I decided to keep it warm with a blanket. At one point, it seemed like it was trying to bite me, but in the end, it didnāt."
Through a dream analysis together with my client, a deeper meanings emerged for her:
The garden as a symbol of a youthful, free state of beingFor the dreamer, the garden used to be a place of safety, curiosity, and wonderāa space where she didnāt have to be productive but could simply be, observe, and enjoy nature.
The baby bear as dormant potential
The bear symbolized a part of herself that had unknowingly been put to sleep: the playful, observant side that could explore freely without responsibilities.Ā The bear waking up was a sign that this part of her wanted attention again.
Balancing freedom and fearThe dreamer felt both comfort and a sense of potential danger from the bear. This reflected an internal struggle: Can I still embrace my curious, carefree side? Or do I always need to be responsible and goal-oriented?Ā The dream encouraged her to trust her instincts and allow space for playful curiosity.
Dreams as a key to hidden parts of ourselves This dream revealed that sometimes, we need to reconnect with an old, forgotten version of ourselvesāone that still holds great value.
